When you have had the longest day, in one of the longest weeks of your life there is nothing quite like coming home.

Cooking dinner for my man, cuddling my cat and being creative certainly help when you know you have to get up and go do it again tomorrow.

Still only 2 more sleeps til we go on holiday.

There is just something wonderful about bunting. There is something whimsical, innocent and fresh about bunting. It makes everything feel just that little bit special. Heck, its even my blog banner so you can tell I am a fan.

In my opinion you can't go past Etsy when looking for bunting.

The image above is part of the Good Will Bunting range by Heidi Adnum. The simple white looks amazing in the garden but could work just as well on a coloured wall or across a big open window space.

I have a vision of having something like the hearts above from Victorian Station above the bed of my daughter. Its just beautiful and would be so sweet.

Richard and I got tickets to the midnight opening screening on Harry Potter 7:Part 2

So exciting! We are going Gold Class Greater Union in George St. Can't wait!

Yes, in a slight aside I choose the Ron/Hermione poster rather than a Harry one because they are my favourites. I love that they get together and I hope one day to convince Richard that Hermione is a great name.

I love my mum. I love my grandma. I love seeing my sister as a mum. There is something magical about mothers, these people who are there for you from the moment you are born until the moment you pass. Even if your mum isn't alive anymore there is no foreseeable way she isn't in heaven making sure things go well for you like she did when she was on earth.

I use the image of the peacock to represent my mother because in history, myth, legend and lore, the Peacock symbolism carries portents of: Nobility, Holiness, Guidance, Protection and Watchfulness. In Hinduism the Peacock is associated with Lakshmi who is a deity representing benevolence, patience, kindness, compassion and good luck. All words that describe my Mum.

I can't wait to be a mother. I hope that I can be even half the mum that I have and that I have seen my sister turn into. Fingers crossed its genetically in there, just waiting to come out.

They say that sometimes change is as good as a holiday and I find no better change than doing something new/different/fun with your hair. So today I got red hair. My inspiration was Amelia Pond (current Doctor Who companion) played by Karen Gillan

Took some quick snaps using the iPhone and the bathroom mirror. I think my hairdresser Julie at Marbles, Northbridge NSW nailed it (though the bathroom light is so strong its hard to tell) I am so happy with it!

Happy 26th Birthday to my darling Richard

I try every day to celebrate that he was born and in my life but birthdays you put in a bit more effort.

Richard is an amazing person and I am grateful everyday for him. He makes me laugh but understands sometimes, when I need him most, I know he always has my back. It doesn't hurt that I love to look at him.

Also, happy birthday to Margaret the "mother in law" and Becks.

..... now to birthday cake!
